Smart TV (Samsung, LG)
The simplest option if your television is recent: no box to add. On Samsung, the NetIPTV and SetIPTV apps are commonly used; on LG, look for a compatible player in the TV's store. Ideal for a living room, less convenient for sport if the manufacturer's app is limited.
Amazon Firestick
The best value for money for most households. It plugs in via HDMI, works on any television (even an old one), and is installed via Downloader. Compact and portable, it is also the easiest to troubleshoot.
Android TV box
A little more powerful than a Firestick, with more memory: it handles heavy apps and fast menus better. A good choice if you use VOD a lot or if you want a device that stays smooth for several years.
MAG receiver
A device dedicated to IPTV, very stable, driven by a portal provided by the service. Simple to use (standard remote control), but less versatile: it is not much use outside of TV.
Apple TV
Excellent quality and a polished interface, but more expensive. Relevant if you are already in the Apple ecosystem and want the same experience on the TV.
How to choose in 3 questions
- Is your TV recent and connected? → start with a Smart TV app.
- Is your TV old or not connected? → Firestick or Android TV box.
- Do you want a dedicated, very stable device? → MAG.
What really matters
- A wired connection (Ethernet) when possible.
- A device with enough memory (avoid models that are too old).
- A plan suited to the number of screens, rather than misconfigured high-end hardware.
